of a most amazing time
in Peru the last two weeks.
5 special friends came to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
with me.
Girlfriends -

and Leah (college roommate)
and behind bench - John (!!!) and Scott
They arrived, settled into the hostel, and we took
3 days to adjust to the area and altitude
before heading out on the hike.
And we met up with the whole group to begin the 4 day hike
We had chefs and guides and porters (who carried EVERYTHING)
up to the camp site each day.
Wonderful meals - they could open a restaurant
and be so popular!
We had some rainy days....to add to the adventure.

Afer the girls headed home,
John stayed a few extra days.
He shaved off his beard from his Appalachian Trail hike....
and I got my hair cut and washed! Simple pleasures!

What a great time of getting caught up with each other
and getting some much needed REST.
